Taki is a Japanese black and grey realism artist with a focus on highly detailed, large scale work.
His tattoos are built around the body rather than placed onto it. Composition, movement and balance are considered from the beginning, allowing larger projects to read as one complete piece rather than a collection of individual images.
He began tattooing in 2024 and brought an obsessive approach to his new craft. Since then, he has quickly established himself on the international tattoo circuit, collecting awards at conventions across multiple countries.
Large scale work is where Taki really comes into his own. Particularly backpieces and projects that give him the space to tell a story. Working closely with each client, he draws from personal experiences, memories and references to build something that has meaning beyond simply looking good.
His work is recognisable for its soft greys, realistic texture, controlled contrast and ridiculous attention to detail.
While still early in his tattoo career, Taki has already achieved more than most manage in considerably longer and he's only getting started.Previous
